About Us


I grew up in NH and David grew up in Maine.  We met while working at Southern New Hampshire University, fell in love and a few years later, got married at Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough, NH which is in the Lakes Region.  We both simply loved the area and talked about someday owning an Inn somewhere by Lake Winnipesaukee.

My dream of owning an Inn began in 2000, during a trip to England, when I stayed at a charming countryside B&B. I loved the cozy, quaint feeling that emanated from the entire Inn, and the warm welcome I received from the owners the moment I stepped inside.  Since then, I have always had a dream and the passion of owning an Inn.


Well, it wasn't until quite a few years later (and we were "empty nesters"), that David and I would begin looking for an Inn to call our own.  In 2012 we stayed at the Lighthouse Inn near Weirs Beach, Lake Winnipesaukee and fell in love with it.  We both thought, what better place to own an Inn than the beautiful Lakes Region of NH!  In 2016, we decided that the Lantern Inn (formerly known as the Lighthouse Inn) would be the perfect place to begin our journey of "Living the American Dream."  So, we bought it!  We are ecstatic that the Inn we fell in love with is now ours!

David and I are very knowledgeable about the Lakes Region and can assist you in planning day trips and places to visit in the area.  We can also offer suggestions on local eateries that will be sure to please your taste buds.

Every once in a while you may catch a glimpse of "Tiger" our long haired, silver tabby cat.  He loves to run and frolic outside during the warm summer months.  When he is inside, he stays in our owner's quarters and is never allowed in the guest rooms.

If you are planning a small, intimate wedding, I am certified as a Justice of the Peace and also a Notary.
